At Disc Centers of America Novi/Plymouth, we are committed to delivering personalized care designed to meet your unique health needs and wellness objectives. From the moment you enter our office, our priority is ensuring you feel comfortable, well-informed, and supported throughout your journey with us. Here’s what you can anticipate:
Your First Visit
During your initial visit, you will complete brief paperwork and provide your most recent MRI to the Disc Center staff. Dr. Lawrence Weiss will then review your MRI and conduct a comprehensive consultation, including a report of findings, patient history, and an examination. Based on your condition, Dr. Weiss will determine if you are a candidate for spinal decompression, and discuss with you the recommended number of decompression treatment sessions based on research and national Disc Centers of America Novi/Plymouth protocols. If more than one area is in need of decompression, Dr. Weiss may recommend addressing one area first, followed by the second, or both areas in tandem.
Decompression Sessions
After a treatment plan has been determined, you will then schedule your appointments with a staff member. Scheduling all sessions in advance will provide the best chance for you to select your preferred dates and times. We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before each session appointment, and each session lasts 30 minutes. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment for any reason, our policy is for you to alert our office no later than 24 hours in advance to avoid a mandatory cancellation fee. If you arrive late to your scheduled appointment, we cannot guarantee we will be able to proceed with your session, and therefore a late fee will apply.
